🌊 IP Flapping

Hardcase, man. Recently I've often faced issues where our staff lose access to stuff they should have. Interestingly, jumping on VPN makes a difference. So I've reached out to my reporting line about it casually and he reckons it's a matter of IP Flapping.

IP Flapping is a networking issue that occurs when a router's state frequently changes, such as when it's constantly switching between being available and unavailable. It can also refer to when a router repeatedly drops and restarts BGP sessions.

Border Gateway Protocol refers to a gateway protocol that enables the internet to exchange routing information between autonomous systems (AS).
